Helping Community Solutions is composed of skilled, well-trained, and competent youth workers who provide NDIS and community support services to children in care to the best of their abilities and capabilities. Before they are hired, we make sure that our youth workers undergo suitable levels of training, seminars, and reviews to ensure that they are ready and reliable enough to deliver a high standard of care.

Our goal is to accommodate every participant’s day-to-day health and personal needs. We are currently extending our team by welcoming new candidates. We are looking for aspiring youth workers who have the following qualifications:

  • Certificate III, IV or Diploma in Community Services
  • Committed to understanding children in care and the factors affecting their lives
  • Trauma-informed practice certification/training
  • Flexible and resilient
  • Patient and tolerant
  • Ability to act with integrity in times of stress
  • Ability to establish good relationships with children in care
  • Ability to treat children in care concerns with respect, tact, and sensitivity, whilst remaining confidential and professional
  • Organisational skills
  • Listening skills
  • Presentation and report writing skills

Highly regarded:

  • Certificate IV in Youth Work
  • Certificate IV in Child, Youth and Family Intervention
  • Certificate IV in Youth Justice
  • Diploma of Mental Health
  • Diploma of Counselling
  • Diploma of Alcohol and Other Drugs
